REPORTED ISSUE: When I type a tilde[~] in-game it does not display in my speech.
ISSUE DETAILS: I'm trying to find screenshots, however the asian invasion of 99 had the azn fuckers running around with their weird ass laugh (we use haha, hehe, etc.), which was keke la~ always with the tilde for no god damn reason. I'd like to see the tilde.
STEPS TO RECREATE: Type a [~] and hit enter.
EXPECTED RESULTS: ~ should display.

Looking into this. This is possibly an issue with the switchover to unicode, although I don't have those dates on hand. I'll see if I can get it working, but it may be a client issue.

I've verified this is a client issue. the tilde exists in the packet sent to the client

Is this also the case with some Swedish letters? That it's client side?

Those turn to '?' though so it's a little different, those are unicode characters which could actually possibly be at least converted to their unaccented versions, but the tile just cones out blank. It may actually be a client side font issue.

I actualli remember playin' with mi IRL buddies back in the day and always writing without those letters... Was hell when a project was due in school, turned everything in with a TON of spelling errors due to not using the proper letters. Haha!
