Part of the reason I placed the statuettes where I did is so they can make noise when players pass thus serving security purposes.
This dolphin is actually monitoring that portion of the courtyard.
It wont squeal and screech when you approach it from the West side.
Should be noted that statuettes' noises are triggered through walls and floors, and can be heard a screen away.
Thanks for looking into this,

Re: Broken Dolphin Statuette
Do you know if any monster statue in the same spot makes noise? It may be related to the Z axis of the statue.

I can test that a little later. However, if it is Z related, and I suspect it is, then somethings wrong since they are supposed to detect through floors and walls.
Re: Broken Dolphin Statuette
I tested it and other statuettes don't work either.

Re: Broken Dolphin Statuette
There's a good chance it's Z-axis related. I can do some testing later this week for this.

Boomland, I figured it out.
Its an optical illusion. The dolphin statuette is actually not in range. However, for 400-500 silver shouldn't the more rare statuettes have a slightly larger range? I'm basically next to it, and it doesn't sound off. 2 tiles seems very small indeed. Sounds more like 200 silver statuette range when you think about it.
Sorry to bother

Re: Broken Dolphin Statuette
I would have to disagree. The items in the silver system are "selective rarity" if you think about it. The item is made expensive to keep it rare, not because it's offering something exceptionally different than an item down a tier or two. Example - 500 silver sandals vs 400 silver sandals. What's the difference? Simply the hue. They offer the same protection, use the same item slot, weigh the same, and have the same number of total hit points/durability.Taboo wrote:Boomland, I figured it out.
