Razor auto-searches containers when you log in to update your reagent and other item counters, and when you pick them up. You can turn off this feature on the Display/Counters tab of Razor, down in the bottom left corner.

If you want Razor to count items in bags such as reagents after you've disabled this feature, you'll have to open the bag manually so Razor can see what's i it.
