bug with pick axe

i started a miner/blacksmith tonight, and i went out with the pick axe that my char started with. i started with 50 blacksmithing and 50 mining. by the time i had mined 28 ingots my pick axe was destroyed. this seems like the item decay is WAY faster then it should be, anyone else noticed this? i have not tried it with shovels just the pick axe.

yes this is very fast and although I don't have concrete evidence on the destruction rates of tools from T2A I know that the pickaxes lasted longer than what they are... I didnt have to carry around 20 pickaxes with me if I went out to mine for 30 mins. Also I think they might even lose durability when you target a mine vein that has been deplete. Even though it says "there is nothing to mine here" it might still count as a hit against the pickaxe's durability. Although I have never had a pickaxe destroyed on this hit though...

do shovels have better durability???
according to the archives under mining it lasts 51 ore

Newbie and exceptional items will have their durablity increased dramatically on next restart.
