Couple queries...

Two things I am wondering about:

Is food or drink supposed to be edible while locked down? I was under the impression only friends of a house could eat the food locked down on the floor, or used as decoration.

Sandals seem buggy. If you kill a creature that wears sandals, when you lift them to put in your inventory they dissapear. Then if you reopen the corpse they are then removeable. If you have them in your bag then port the same thing happens so you essentially have to move things twice.,

Yes, food could always be eaten when locked down. Even dried herbs were edible when locked down, but they aren't here =\.

ive eaten a half dozen fruit baskets by accident that wer locked down :<
