Selling Barrier Isle
Hi everyone. I'm taking a leave from the game for an undetermined amount of time, so I figure I should just go ahead and sell everything. First up on the auction block is Barrier Isle, most recently known as the island I run new player housing on. The island is connected to Trinsic via a bridge on the east side of the city, and part of the island is in guardzone. There are seven houses on the island, and I own them all. I'm looking to sell this as a package. I reserve the right to sell to whomever I please, regardless of bids, and will give more consideration towards those that plan to use the island for some kind of community building thing such as new player housing, player town, etc.
As a footnote, there are still a few new players in some of the houses, and I'd request that they be allowed to stay until they can place their own houses. No new applicants will be accepted by me.
Here is a picture of the island, please ignore the black dots. I'll start the bidding at seven small house deeds, and I'll set an auction end time of 9pm EST on Friday, July 16th.

Re: Selling Barrier Isle
This is horribly sad. I would totally buy these and keep the new player housing going if I had the funds. Hopefully someone with the same ideals jumps in and takes it over.

Good luck Theo in your life adventures! I was just wondering the other day where I would buy my supplies if you left the game and I guess I will be figuring that out soon. Thank you for all the work you've put into the server!

I wish I had the kind of bank to make a serious offer for this, because I must say that I admire what you did on that island, specially for new players. This is a great opportunity for any guild / individual to run a town there, as it is a priviliged location.
On a side note, I am sad to see you taking a break from the game, the shard will miss you.

If you're serious about keeping it going, or starting a town there, I can loan you (or the guild) the gold. You can pay me back as slowly as you want to.Pirul wrote:I wish I had the kind of bank to make a serious offer for this, because I must say that I admire what you did on that island, specially for new players. Re: Selling Barrier Isle
Let me know if you need assistance keeping this as new player temp-housing. I'd be all over this if I didn't have too many houses to deal with as it is.Joueur Moyen wrote:If you're serious about keeping it going, or starting a town there, I can loan you (or the guild) the gold. Re: Selling Barrier Isle
i bid the 7 house deeds if nobody else has made a bid yet. i'll be more than willing to try and keep the new player housing going for as long as possible. would be a shame to see such a good thing end.

Re: Selling Barrier Isle
I will bid 7 deeds +20k with the intent of keeping the island for assisting players new to the shard, would like to add that I will happily agree to the terms stated above about the current occupants of the homes.
Re: Selling Barrier Isle
Just a thought, but all the people who are interested in keeping this going should maybe band together and help each other out with cost. That way they could also take control of a house or two, to help spread out setting up the new players (would be great for ppl on different timezones, etc). I'd be willing to throw in a small deed + some cash.

Re: Selling Barrier Isle
3 separate parties are involved in my bidding, not sure on whether or not they want to go public with their intentions quite yet but this is definitely a joint venture, I wouldn't be able to afford just deeds otherwise.
