There has been a sharp increase in the profanity in the regular forums. These threads are indexed by the search engines and we ask for the sake of maintaining our excellent placement and family friendly image that profanity be restricted to the Trash Talk, Guild, and "Other" forums, which are not search engine indexed, or available to non registered users.
Thanks!

wtfman.com is blocked by the State of Ohio due to 'excessive profanity' making the nay sayers wrong about such a possibility ever happening with this web site.
This can easily happen on any LAN through a company or organization if they chose this course of action.

Re: Language in Forums
adding a filter to automatically take care of it may make this task less tedious
Re: Language in Forums
Aye, it's been considered; however language filtering is a site wide setting, and we don't desire to sensor language in the non-public forums such as Trash Talk; which serves primarily as a place for players to vent without dirtying up our regular public forums.dankdankerson wrote:adding a filter to automatically take care of it may make this task less tedious
I appreciate the feedback, but I'm going to lock this topic so we don't get into a long discussion on what can be done to combat this issue; this discussion would be welcome in a new thread, maybe in discussion. This thread serves solely as a statement of current policy on language in the forums.
