Ascalon
Ascalon
I thought this was supposed to be a T2A replica.
What's with the custom staff work this guild has going on?
These are the only things that I could notice from outside these locked houses... Not trying to start a fight here, but why does this guild get special staff treatment?

Re: Ascalon
there is no "Special Treatment" and no i niether am looking for a fight, but to explain to you, that we have been working on a player ran town for many months now, we werent given anything for free mind you , we worked for it. it is not just the work of myself, but about 25 people.. We strive to make an extremely successful RolePlaying Community, And are hoping that more roleplaying guilds will emerge. that is all.
Re: Ascalon
Pfft... T2A Pacific server had like 4 player run towns, with custom gardens/items from GMS, even NPC barkeeps. What better way to promote roleplaying. If you had enough players role playing, seers would get you the hook ups. AFTER T2A all those things went away... Roleplayers went to trammel, and EA stopped caring.
Re: Ascalon
To be fair, they were still in durring T2A. It was when Trammel opened up, GM support ended and they became ghost towns. Outside of Cove on the GL server was a HUGELY popular successsful one with vendors galore and a lot of foot traffic. The shops were given display cases similar to the ones in vendor shops, there was even one that had a stable. But it was all player owned and operated. After trammel, it became a barren wasteland.
Re: Ascalon
The opportunities for participation in the RP community extend to all players.
Re: Ascalon
Sorry, at first glance it really looked like a GM was in the guild or something.
Anyways, what kind of prices are we looking for things like these? The healer thing is a little weird...

Re: Ascalon
Anyone interested in developing a player run town should contact Kasimir (He's out of town this week though). No Staff members are affiliated with or have preference to any Guild on the shard. There is cost associated with building a town of course, such and lumber, wages for the craftsmen, etc. Items such as Fences are of course not portable either and do require quite a bit of upkeep. There is quite a bit to it, and since this seems to have led to quite a bit of confusion we will likely have to publish some rules/guide related to this type of venture.Blind wrote:Sorry, at first glance it really looked like a GM was in the guild or something.

Re: Ascalon
Alright, once agian, I wasn't trying to start a fight. Now I know this is open to all players so I'm cool with it.

Re: Ascalon
I don't see why there needs to be GM intervention in player run towns. It only leads to preferential treatment.Derrick wrote:Anyone interested in developing a player run town should contact Kasimir (He's out of town this week though). Re: Ascalon
WHo cares if they add pretty pixels to their area? As long as they do not add anything to help them in PvP I see no issue what so ever.
Re: Ascalon
I got to this post a bit late, but rest assured, as soon as I get back, I will post an informative post regarding the restrictions, prices, etc. for receiving something like what Ascalon has. Thanks Derrick.
