Re: Era accuracy... and then what?
Bob&Derrick: I have no negative tone or attitude, I am simply participating in the discussion like everyone else. Being upset about what I said in another thread doesn't mean everything I post is a cut+paste from that thread. I haven't complained about anything in this thread, or said anything n...

Re: Dedicated ghosters/trackers
Sure they can do that, that's the whole idea though. Make them have to actually *do* something instead of just setting up their ghost bot and waiting for an alert. The complaint isn't that people can see in dungeons, it is that people can have invincible alert-bots that nobody else can do anything a...

Re: Era accuracy... and then what?
Again, I would recommend reading the posts you reply to rather than invent things to tell me to stfu about. I am not demanding anything, bandages were simply an example of one issue that gets dismissed with a flood of "era inaccurate" replies instead of a discussion.

Re: Dedicated ghosters/trackers
Making people use a stealther would be a big improvement. They can't have a stealther sit in a dungeon completely safe indefinitely to auto-alert on potential victims. They actually have to pay attention to the character or people can reveal it and let the local spawn kill them.

Re: Era accuracy... and then what?
I didn't say anything about disliking anything. You may wish to read the posts you reply to rather than simply assuming they contain content that offends you. Like I said, out of era changes don't necessarily harm the "ideological goal", only the mechanical goal. And since the mechanical g...

Re: Era accuracy... and then what?
Technically we already have a "pick and choose" ruleset. The nov 23 patch is part accepted and part rejected, leaving the server emulating a ruleset that never existed. There's really no difference between rejecting the in-era secure/lockdown increase and accepting the out of era "cut...

Re: Joined a week ago but considering leaving...
As a rule of thumb, when you start out with "I don't want to be an ass" it is because you know you are being an ass ;) I am not berating anyone, I am not attacking anyone. I simply pointed out what I perceive to be a big communication issue discouraging people from contributing to the serv...

Re: Joined a week ago but considering leaving...
I don't want to be an ass, but if you are that unhappy with this free shard that Derrick and others VOLUNTEER their free time to running, then perhaps you could start your own or go play another. I, for one, have enjoyed this shard and can't believe the level of dedication of the people running it....

Re: Assorted Taming Bugs
Yeah, that was the big "make taming actually work" patch. Server boundary nerfing being fixed meant they were worried about dragons being overpowered so they added lore to the loyalty check so taming would suck up 200 skill points to try to balance that out. They also added the loyalty che...

Re: Joined a week ago but considering leaving...
I didn't draw that conclusion from your post in this thread, but from the posts in the bug/era accuracy threads. I realize you aren't actually saying that, I am just saying that's how it feels. Nobody is going to stay motivated to spend time researching issues, testing and reporting if they feel lik...

Re: Making money with a bard
The point was you don't need a single mob to farm like the blood ele or elder gazer or lich lord. You can farm all of a large spawn at once.

Re: Joined a week ago but considering leaving...
I am not "throwing tar and feathers". If you intended to use the taming archive numbers, why didn't you simply say that so that we can check that off of our list of "things we need to worry about proving/testing/discussing" so we can move on to other issues? This is the entire pr...

Re: Hythloth 3 Bug
The LoS and distance checks on provoke should only be from player to target, not between targets. Hard to prove the LoS portion, but the distance thing is easy to confirm on the demo.

Re: Joined a week ago but considering leaving...
On the one issue that he hasn't stated that he is looking into it (taming minimum values), it is mainly because we haven't decided what list of values we will be considering the authoritative values for UOSA. Which is very much the point. There shouldn't be a "we will secretly decide what numb...

Re: Making money with a bard
Why would a tamer waste time at the elder gazer? And I already said just give a dexer a junky silver weapon and they will do well. But you have clearly never been a tamer. You'll lose pets often here since follow speed was nerfed to make whiney gankers happy, but you can get new pets too easily as w...
