Re: in-game help
I hadn't considered the nostalgia factor. I think you have a strong point against it there.

Re: in-game help
I definitely agree everything comes down to resources and expected return on investment. I'm just curious to the staff if we have the numbers on new player turn over? How many people make it to logging in but never come back after the first login/day? Do we believe having information more available ...

Re: in-game help
I'm not arguing that the resources we already have are great. I am just suggesting that the shard might benefit from the information being a bit more... available? UO is an overwhelming game. There are countless ways to play it. The fact is, even adding a few gumps to the help bar could be all peopl...

Re: in-game help
1) We have a tutorial "shard" they should start with. 2) We have a wiki 3) We have a guide section on the forum 4) We have an IRC based chatroom with many regulars to answer questions If that's not enough for new players, then they are pretty much hopeless. When most of us started UO, we ...

in-game help
So I've been a long time player but never really post. Recently I've been trying to get some friends to come to UO. The challenge is that they have never played UO, and lets face it, the game is complicated. What do people think about adding in game help? It could be activated via a voice command, o...

Re: Old Married Couples event
All the married guys get "a shackle" put on their paperdoll, and move around at 1/4 speed. And their bank account loses 50% of it's balance each month. This event goes on indefinitely. LOL! I'll keep working on my wife... So far her bard has managed to escape the confines of our small hou...

Re: Patch 134 - Little stuff
The wyrms feel much better now. I had been surprised when I got my first one a few weeks ago at how little hp they had. I had always sold the wyrms for 15k and dragons for 10k on OSI because the wyrms were better effective hunters than the dragons (dragon does less damage as its health falls). This ...

Re: Brokers of britainnia: broker bonding
This is a great idea.
Maybe make suggested fee, IE. 3% of trade value. Kind of like a Realtor expects a 3% commission. They do not always require it, deals can be made... but it is a guideline. This way people know what to expect and it is one less place for someone to walk away feeling cheated.

Re: Resist Gains
so what was the final verdict here? It was obviously patched in, but no one ever stated the findings or what exactly was patched...
How does the additional damage effect chance to resist/skill gain?
