Possible to play on a Mac?

Not too computer savvy, but I'd like to be able to get the server to work on my Mac laptop instead of my PC desktop.

Is there a separate client that I need to download in order to get it working?

Re: A possible bard/archer template...

You have excellent taste.

Now I need to think up a unique archery build to use all these arrows I stocked up on with...

Archer Fisherman?
Archer Treasure Hunter?
Archer Assassin?

Re: A possible bard/archer template...

I've decided to go cookiecutter. I guess what it boils down to is that if it's a character that's strictly for farming means, there isn't really a point in trying to play something unique when it's not as efficient as what it was designed for. GM Music GM Provo GM Magery GM Med GM Hiding GM Resist G...

Re: A possible bard/archer template...

A mage is by far the best combo for a bard. Archery might work but you're limited to what you can do. Also arrows will add more weight to you since you're already going to be carrying regs from your 80 magery. I look at is as a slight limiting by going archery. All I'm looking for this character to...

Re: hey need help

Some excellent advice in here. Few things I'd like to add, however, that made my experience when I started much easier. I've been playing for about a couple weeks and already have saved up enough to GM a few skills and to place my first house. First, GM music and provo. Those are a give-in for being...

Re: A possible bard/archer template...

you're still spending money on arrows then. Go with melee or the good old EV to finish anything off IMO I've thought about the melee route, but since I travel light and don't wear armor, the odds of me being able to take down something in melee range like a dragon, balrog or even a daemon will be p...

A possible bard/archer template...

Need some opinions... I've been throwing around the idea of making a bard/archer as the alternative to the standard mage/bard template that is pretty common. The main objective of this build is not necessarily survivability in a PvP situation or 1v1 against a mob, but to aid in the long and tedious ...

Re: Strictly townie craftsman a viable option on this server?

I currently have a small, 2-story and large brick. The large brick I just stumbled upon north of my 2-story that just had an empty spot where another brick use to be. The spot also fits a 2-story but I just love the design of the brick more. I'm with you on that one. I'm not a huge fan of the 2 sto...

Re: 3 Questions Please....

I'm new to this server too and looking for a guild and people to hang out with. If you ever want to meet up and go hunting, let me know. I found a couple of pretty good spots. I'm currently working up magery but I'm a GM bard right now. I'll be able to help you with some t-maps if you like. PM me or...

Re: Strictly townie craftsman a viable option on this server?

Thank you for the housing offer. I actually was pretty happy about being able to save up enough cash to buy a small house deed and find a nice spot east of Minoc. Unfortunately it's not as close to a moongate or a mountain range as I'd like, but at least it seems pretty quiet with almost no spawn. I...

Re: Strictly townie craftsman a viable option on this server?

I appreciate the advice. I've gone the bowcrafting route to make some money till I got my skills/stats leveled up to head out and farm some real gold. I used to craft different kinds of leather armor and make GM weapons on other servers and used to be able to hang out at the forge or bank in Brit ba...

Re: Just looking for some fellas to hunt with...

Hey, I'm fairly new and spend a lot of time hunting and trying to find decent places to farm for gold. I usually spend my time at Serp Hold bank at night when I'm not farming [undisclosed] areas.

I'd love some company and help.

Strictly townie craftsman a viable option on this server?

I'm not really a big fan of PvP fan and dungeon crawling bores me after a while... What I really enjoy are crafting skills and being able to make/sell items that players need. On a server where you can have multiple accounts and unattended macroing, is having a character that is strictly a town merc...

Re: It's about 2 weeks so far...

I'll definitely take a look around for some house spots once I save up the money. A small house is all I'm gonna be able to afford for the time being since I'm still in that broke-ass-newb stage. Oh, and if anyone belongs to a fairly large active guild and looking for someone active, friendly, exper...

It's about 2 weeks so far...

I've been playing on this server for about 2 weeks so far. I've spent a good amount of time macroing and getting skills up so I can head out and farm some gold. My first impression was that this seemed like the old UO I remember except on hard mode. The few places that I've gone and farmed regularly...
