UO Second Age

I seen there was an event last night at 12 Pm a 1v1 so I logged in but there was none? No gate, no announcement, nothing, are events no longer running?

Do you know what that range may be? I was atleast like 4-5 tiles away I swear

I've got killed like 3 times by trapped dungeon chests then the guy just recalls in and loots me. How is this possible? I unlock it, then i step far away and telekenesis it open and I still get blown up lol
