Do Keyrings bless keys?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but almost every shard I've played on has different policies about these things, and it's been such a long time that I have difficulty distinguishing what is and is not era specific.

When a monster loots a corpse, how long will it hold the items it took? Does it keep them indefinitely or are they deleted after a period of time?

Like the subject said - I have several deeds for "a ballot box" - some sort of house addon type thing.

I'm guessing these aren't worth much.
