Re: Merry Xmas... new player house looted
If it makes you feel any better, I just logged in to discover my entire house is gone, and another in its place. I've only been logging in about once a week to refresh it (by clicking the door, and then checking the sign for "like new"), but it didn't count for whatever reason, so I really...

Re: Lost Password
Just thought I'd mention, that I also have an account issue that requires his assistance, I attempted contacting him through pm's on both the forums and on IRC, and have not yet received a response to either. I'm sure he's super busy, so I've just been working on some other things on another account...

Re: Let's put our best foot forward...
Well, IPY players can return to a server that will be on its third "reboot", or come to UOSA, a server that has never had a server wipe in its several year history, and never will. The kinks are worked out here, the server is funded and stable, and the admins leave the players the fuck al...

Re: Let's put our best foot forward...
I'm not shutting IPY down. Taken from a post by the guy that runs the place that was started about 20 minutes ago? What am I missing here? I didn't see that thread yet. Too bad, I am from IPY, and was ready to see it die, and have the communities merge. Oh well. Well, regardless of whether you need...

Re: Let's put our best foot forward...
I had to go dome some Googling to see what this was all about. It sounds like they're doing a shard wipe according to a post by the admin, and everyone sounds very supportive. Are we anticipating a certain percentage of players may take the opportunity to start fresh somewhere else, or did I miss so...

Re: Which houses are safe from the LOS bug?
If you own a castle and no one has marked runes to your courtyard then you would say it is a secure castle courtyard. Thanks for clarifying, I hadn't even thought about that! Still so much to learn! People who continue to house kill with this bug(and legit ways) aren't helping the server grow becau...

What exactly do you mean when you say "completely secure"?WiseOne wrote:In a completely secure castle this wouldn't be a problem. I wonder how many of those exist on the shard.
I've learned how to do the basic things like keeping doors locked, etc., but do castles have additional procedures?

Flamestriking myself for two days before discovering that you cannot gain resisting spells while casting on yourself in town.
Thanks to all the helpful forum posters, I'm lucky that's the most painful mistake I've made thus far.

Re: Stealth and Snooping
UOSA has a target date of November 23, 1999 with a goal of replicating the mechanics available at the time. Well damnit. Can't say I agree with setting a date regardless of the sorts of changes that were made, but who am I to disagree? This place seems to be the last bastion of UO that even attempt...

Re: Not coming back
I just stumbled across your "Tips and Tricks" guide in your signature literally like two days ago, and it's been a great read ever since, covers a lot of information very concisely and in depth that I haven't found elsewhere on the forums.
Sorry to see you go, but wish you all the best!

Re: smelting macro help
I had a similar problem earlier this week while doing some tinkering. I had a similar macro setup, to use the ingots in my bag, and had them set to "target by type", and it would work about half the time, and then give me the "that is too far away" error message, just like you de...

Re: Thinking of coming back.
I've only been here about a month, so I can't compare my experiences to those of years past, but between relearning the joys and pains of Sosaria, and taking in some of the colorful personalities on the forums here, I've been having a great time so far! I've been really impressed with the quality of...

Re: New Player
Hi, welcome to UOSA! I'm fairly new here myself, my account is 28 days old as of this posting, so I thought I'd jump in and share a little bit of what I've learned in that time. My research suggested that a bard was the quickest way to get up and running, so I made this character first, and found it...

Re: First Time Home Buyer: A Few Newbie Questions
Hi Pirul! I've found your posts super helpful these past few weeks, this one was no exception! Depends on what type of houose you'd like, and where'd you like it. If you're buying a small house, there are plenty of spots out there to place yourself, and pretty good ones at that. If you're buying som...
